NILE Hospitality has opened two further Radisson-branded properties in Gujarat, extending its partnership with Radisson Hotel Group to five hotels across the state. Radisson Resort & Spa Sasan Gir and Park Inn & Suites by Radisson Rajkot join existing properties in Kandla, Gandhinagar, and Navsari, giving the partnership a presence spanning wildlife tourism, industrial commerce, and coastal markets within a single state. Radisson’s Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for South Asia, linked the openings to a deliberate strategy of matching specific brands to specific markets rather than a single national format, describing the approach as bringing “the right brands and propositions” to each destination’s distinct needs.
A Wildlife-Led Resort in Sasan Gir
Radisson Resort & Spa Sasan Gir sits close to Gir National Park, with views over Madhuvanti Dam, and offers 122 rooms across Standard, Superior, and Executive Suite categories. Guided safaris, birdwatching, and cultural excursions form part of the guest experience, alongside an outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Weddings and large-format events sit at the centre of the property’s commercial positioning: more than 1,64,250 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space is available, anchored by the 6,250 sq. ft. Gir Ballroom, which holds up to 600 guests, and supported by four separate lawns. Roots, the resort’s 230-cover all-day vegetarian restaurant, runs on a live-kitchen format, alongside a grab-and-go tea lounge. Nikhil Balvantrai Dhami, owner of Vishal Resort and Township, framed the property as a way to celebrate the region’s natural setting while delivering genuine event infrastructure for large-scale celebrations.
A Commercial Hub Opening in Rajkot
Park Inn & Suites by Radisson Rajkot marks the brand’s first property in the city, situated on Kanak Road within reach of Rajkot’s business districts, industrial hubs, retail areas, the railway station, and the airport. With 54 rooms and suites, the property is built for business and leisure travel in roughly equal measure, alongside meetings and social functions held on-site. Dining runs across The Golden Spice, a 72-cover all-day restaurant serving Indian and international dishes, and The Deli, a smaller 25-cover tea lounge, while event needs are handled through Virasat, a 2,000 sq. ft. banquet hall paired with a 600 sq. ft. pre-function area. Nileshbhai Dangar, the property’s owner, positioned the hotel as bringing internationally recognised hospitality standards to one of Gujarat’s fastest-growing commercial centres.
Part of a Wider Shift Beyond Metro India
NILE Hospitality’s Founder and CEO, Vikram Singh Chauhan, characterised the two properties as addressing genuinely separate markets pairing Sasan Gir’s growing pull as an experience-led wildlife destination against Rajkot’s more conventional business base. The openings sit within a larger pattern in Radisson’s national strategy: the group’s India portfolio now exceeds 225 hotels in operation or development, with more than half positioned in Tier II and Tier III markets rather than the country’s largest metro cities. For NILE Hospitality, the additions extend a Gujarat footprint that now spans five hotels, reinforcing its role as Radisson’s development and management partner in markets shaped by very different demand drivers from one city to the next.
